Flute Flight

Two distinguished flautists Wissam Boustany and Nicola Woodward will share their love of the flute and leave you inspired to take your own playing onwards and upwards.

• 9.30 Introduction, welcome and Open classes*

Break

• 11.30 Ensembles - choose flute choir or folk session

Lunch

• 1.30 Open classes or ensemble for younger players

• 3.00 Q and A / discussion / rehearsals for public concert 

Tea

• 4.30 Final Public Concert - a feast from the the day to include everyone; selected open class participants, choirs folk ensemble and solos by Wissam and Nicola

*Open class is essentially a 'masterclass' but  will be  informal and aim to involve the 'audience' as much as possible. Anyone regardless or age or ability may take part.

​

Throughout the day Just Flutes from London will be exhibiting instruments, music and accessories and available to offer advice.

Masterclass participant/flute choir/concert: £40 (£35 concessions/students/BFS members)
Masterclass observer/flute choir/concert: £25 (£20 concessions/students/BFS members)
Concert ticket: £8 (£5 parents/carers/students/BFS members)

U14s need an adult to stay (free). U18s will need to  and stay on the premises for the duration.

Tutors are DBS checked. There will be no 1-1 time but everyone is here at their own risk.
